VANCOUVER, WA—Vancouver Victory FC
are making a strong commitment to their future as they have created and filled a Director of Club Development position with the hiring of Sunny Dulai. Dulai will also be an assistant coach for the Evergreen Premier League side.

v2fc-full-color-crest-croppedSunny has worked directly for the Washington Timbers youth soccer club for the last 15 years in a couple of different capacities, including Technical Director. He knows virtually everyone under the age of 20 who has touched a soccer ball in Clark County. Dulai is very popular, well-respected and well-liked by players coaches and families throughout the region.

Dulai’s Director of Club Development duties will include running the V2FC youth camp program, increasing club ticket sales, marketing the EPLWA side and helping recruit and develop Victory players.

“We are very excited to have hired Sunny to be part of Vancouver Victory FC both as an assistant coach on our staff and as the new Director of Club Development,” says Victory owner Barrett Goddard.

“You would be hard-pressed to find anyone that has done more for soccer development in Southwest Washington than Sunny has done in the last 15 years.”

Goddard says the Victory are fully behind the new position. An office will be opened at Salmon Creek Indoor Soccer so V2FC can have a physical presence year round in the community. “We plan to support Sunny anyway possible to help him continue to achieve high levels of success in the soccer industry.”

EPLWA Logo-07-600Dulai has an English FA license, and a USSF B (coaching) license that were factors in getting him in on the Victory coaching staff.

Dulai says, “I’ve been in the area now for over 15 years working with club, high school and ODP teams. I also coached high school and mens teams back in England before my arrival here.”

Sunny was once a player (Azaad Sports FC and Punjab Utd) but has excelled in the USA in creating environments where soccer talent grows and soccer clubs prosper.

Sunny says the transition into his new position will be eased by his longterm soccer relationship with Goddard. “I’ve known Barrett for many years as we coached together before, and knew about the club (V2FC) through the coaching staff and the players. I’ve heard good things about the club and the opportunity to work with Barrett was very appealing to me.”

The creation of the Director of Club Development position and the hiring of Dulai signal the Victory’s intention to grow as a club and to begin the work of establishing themselves as a year-round presence in Clark County soccer.
