VANCOUVER WA— Now that the Vancouver Victory coaching staff is established for the 2018 season, led by Head Coach Logan Emory; they are ready to assemble a dynamic squad to defend their home at Harmony Sports Complex in East Vancouver.

The Hampton Inn Championship Field at Harmony Sports Complex

The Boys in Blue are in their second year at Harmony and they will be battling on the Hampton Inn Championship Field with new turf installed in June of 2017.  The field is special. It has seating that keeps the supporters close to the action and is fenced off the other areas, providing a strong, stadium feel. It is truly a soccer dedicated place; only lined for 11 vs. 11, full-sided games.

Sean Janson, the General Manager of the Vancouver Victory, stated that, “the Championship Field is going to provide a great atmosphere that the first team deserves.  It will also show off all the work done here at Harmony Sports Complex.”

Head Coach Logan Emory

Coach Emory has played in the highest levels of soccer from is youth to present day with an impressive list of clubs that includes: Toronto FC of Major League Soccer, the Puerto Rico Islanders and the L.A. Galaxy II of the United Soccer League, the San Antonio Scorpions of the NASL, and the University of Portland.  Ultimately, he went back home to coach his boyhood club, the Boise Nationals, to a three state titles. He also coached his former high team to win fourth in state. Coach Emory obviously garnered some attention and it landed him the assistant coaching position at the University of Portland in 2016; his old stomping grounds and one of the most prestigious soccer programs in the country.

Through the natural connections that happen in the soccer community here in the Northwest, Emory was contacted by the Washington Timbers and it was an easy choice for him.  “This is a privilege. I am working for the supporters. I am a Northwest kid and I do not take this lightly. My goal is to win a championship with entertaining soccer. We will be a blue-collar team who rolls up our sleeves and gets to work.”

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves to play for Victory?
