BELLINGHAM, WA— The Hammers welcomed the Victory into the WISL in Vancouver’s first indoor season at the Bellingham Sportsplex, then scored 9 goals to take the win before 250 fans. Vancouver got the better start, leading after one period 1-0 thanks to a historic first WISL goal from Jerson Mejia. The Hammers awoke for three goals in the second quarter to grab the momentum. Kenny Parker, Nick Cashmere and Dan Anderson notched tallies in the period for BUFC. A brace from Oscar Jimenez and  goals from Connor Moe and Jonathan James increased Bellingham United’s tally to seven, but Vancouver Victory grabbed three of their own in a hectic third quarter. It was 7-4 Hammers going into the last quarter. After a quick Vancouver strike from Cody Guthrie, Bellingham United got goals from Richard Henderson and Chris Jepson to make the final score 9-5.
