Vancouver Victory FC have gotten a taste off futbol rapido in the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL). Now they want VICTORY!
V2FC (0-1) will host their historic first-ever home WISL match this Saturday night December 5 at 7 PM at Clark County Indoor Sports (google maps) against the Oly Town Artesians.
Tickets will be available at the door, 8$ for adults and $5 for kids age 15 and under.
The Victory played well in their league debut on November 21 in Bellingham, scoring 5 goals and staying with one of the league’s better squads until the very end. The 9-5 loss to the Hammers was part of a first-season learning curve for Vancouver. The next step is breaking through with a win.
“We had some very good moments against Bellingham United,” says Victory owner Barrett Goddard. “We could really see how our game has improved since we were up there for the pre-season tournament.” V2FC was in Bellingham for three scrimmage matches on October 31.
The opponent, Oly Town Artesians (0-1), also lost their opener 9-5. The Artesians fell last week in Everett to the 2-0 and first place club Sporting Everett FC.
Clark County Indoor Sports will be a great place to watch a match. Bleachers are right up against the pitch, and of course no matter what the weather is like outside, it will be dry for futbol rapido.
