Vancouver, WA – Vancouver Victory is thrilled to announce the return of Madeline Wright as Head Coach for the 2025 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season. Wright played a pivotal role in securing the club’s acceptance into the WPSL, ensuring high-level opportunities for women’s players in the region. With the 2024 season marking the club’s inaugural campaign in the league, she will now look to build on that foundation heading into 2025.
Wright’s coaching pedigree speaks for itself. In addition to leading Victory’s debut in the WPSL, she has also found tremendous success at Clark College, where she has led the team to the playoffs every year as head coach (past three seasons, with a NWAC Final appearance in year one) and helped develop some of the top offensive talent in the conference. Under her leadership, two out of three seasons have produced both the league and conference’s leading goal scorers, further solidifying her ability to build high-powered attacking teams.
Beyond her coaching achievements, Wright has been instrumental in building Vancouver Victory’s infrastructure behind the scenes—managing team operations, hiring staff, handling player registration, and strengthening community relations to support the club’s long-term vision.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Vancouver Victory,” said Wright. “Getting this team into the WPSL was about creating opportunities for women to play at a high level, and now that we’ve established ourselves, I’m excited to keep pushing the program forward in 2025. We want to continue to play at a high standard, develop top players, and represent this community with pride.”
With Wright at the helm, Vancouver Victory is set to take another step forward in the WPSL, further solidifying itself as a premier destination for elite women’s soccer in the region. Fans can look forward to an exciting and competitive 2025 season as the team builds on the momentum from its inaugural year.
