Vancouver Victory is drived from the Vancouver Victory ships manufactured in Vancouver during WWII. The Victory ship was a cargo ship produced in large numbers throughout North America. The Kaiser Shipyards in Vancouver produced thirty-one of these ships, including one built in just five days, the quickest of any shipyard.
