VANCOUVER, WA— Vancouver Victory FC had the opportunity to play a friendly against Temecula FC of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) on Friday June 24 at Harmony Sports Complex. Temecula were in the area visiting Portland Timbers FC, making the match possible. In the end the EPLWA team scored a 5-2 win.
TFC took an early lead with a goal in the third minute unassisted by Ambrose Lisowe. The home side bounced back when Alan Hernandez scored in the 12th minute on an assist by Borce Aranasov. Eleven minutes later Vancouver took the lead as Atanasov and Hernandez switched role. This time Borce got the goal on Alan’s assist.
The second half belonged to Vancouver. Jesse Martin made it 3-1 in the 53rd thanks to an assist from Anthony Porecco. Ben Culpan scored an unassisted goal in the 61st to make it 4-1.
In the 70th minute three Vancouver players combined for V2FC’s fifth goal. It was BJ Romac and Erik Urzua who got the ball to Bobby Hutchin to make it 5-1 Vancouver. Temecula got a consolation in the 90th minute when a corner kick from Joey Chichito was converted by Antonio Amaya to make the final score 5-2.
