Vancouver Victory Men Drop Points in Rematch Against Everett Jets
Men still sit in pole position to make a playoff run at the end of the regular season
Vancouver, Washington: The Vancouver Victory Men left it all out on the pitch last Saturday, but it still wasn’t enough as they lost 3-0 in their rematch against Everett Jets FC. With just four games remaining in the Evergreen Premier League season, the Victory still sit in a great position to bounce back and make a playoff run come the end of the regular season.
It was a long 90 minutes on Saturday for the Victory, as they went down to 10 men and had to play a man down for half of the game. By halftime, the opposition had a 2-nil advantage going into the break. Unfortunately for the Victory, it went from bad to worse as the Jets were able to grab a third goal in the second half, with the game finishing 3-0 at fulltime. “It was a tough loss,” said Head Coach Jeff Lukowiak. “We played a man down for half of the game and we left a lot on the pitch.” Despite the loss, Lukowiak is confident in his team as the end of the season approaches. “We look to rebound in the next couple weeks as we make a run to the playoffs.”
Up next for the Victory are back-to-back games away and at home against Thurston County FC, followed by games against OlyPen Force and Bellingham United.
