VANCOUVER, WA—Vancouver Victory FC are done with their first set of open tryouts after around 5o players tried to make good impressions on March 7.
The Victory staff and coaches suited each trialist with a special light gray training t-shirt featuring the Vancouver crest on the back between the shoulder blades, and “The Main Event” restaurant sponsor logo on the front.
Among the trialists were Timbers U23 player Morish Beckham, and Clark College goalkeeper McKay Owsley, as well as a bunch of other new guys and returning players.
The second and final round of tryouts will take place Saturday March 14 from 1-5 PM at King’s Way Christian School (on the turf), located at 3300 NE 78th ST, Vancouver, Washington.
Returning players may register for 2015 tryouts at a reduced fee of $30. The fee for new players is $40. Players must also fill out a registration form telling the club more about their soccer careers.
