VANCOUVER, Wash.—Vancouver Victory FC continue to build their roster for the 2015 Evergreen Premier League season and today they reveal three more players who will join them on a quest for a league title. On defense Davis Strawn returns to the Victory while the club adds James Partee. On offense the Victory strengthen their attack with the addition of midfielder Aaron Kinnes.
“These players come to us with a nice blend of athleticism and experience,” says Victory head coach Aaron Lewis. “We feel all three of these players not only are physically capable of helping us on the field, but are players that will continue to help us establish the kind of culture we are looking for moving forward.”
Club owner Barrett Goddard is also pleased, adding “Aaron (Lewis) continues to raise the level of talent on our roster. I am excited to see it come together as we begin the 2nd phase of our tryout period going into pre-season. It is an exciting time if you are a Vancouver Victory FC supporter!”
Davis Strawn was named the Victory “Most Valuable Defender” in 2014. His speed and ability to stick with attackers helped Vancouver finish third in the EPLWA in goals allowed. Davis is from Camas and graduated from Union High School.
James Partee played in the back for the Gonzaga Bulldogs for four seasons after graduating from Mountain View High School in Vancouver. He was named the Greater St. Helens League Player of the Year as a senior. Partee played 66 matches in his career with the Zags.
Aaron Kinnes joins the Victory midfield. During his second year at Corban, Kinnes led the Warriors to the CCC Conference Championship contest. Throughout his three years at Corban, Kinnes racked up a total of 20 goals and 17 assists. Kinnes continued his soccer career after Corban with trials around the US and abroad.
The three latest announced players bring the Vancouver roster up to ten as the club continues practice ahead of an April 4 pre-season friendly against Fuerza FC that will kick off at 2 PM at Kings’ Way.
